Reduce * Reuse * Recycle * Downcycle * Upcycle

Updated: Feb 20, 2020

Being a mom is not only trying to raise healthy children it´s also the big responsibility of raising the future generation.

I feel the commitment to teach my daughter how to take care of nature, love animals but also be conscious about consumption.

We can make the difference in our homes! We can set a good example once again to our kids, because they deserve a better future!

Being part of the fashion industry makes me part of the problem but also gives me the opportunity to try to make a change.

Did you know that in 2016 the fashion industry was estimated to be worth $2.4 trillion, being an extremely profitable and also one of the most polluting industries in the world.

Just in 2014 we bought 1.2 billion jeans worldwide. But, did you know that just in the dyeing and rinsing process 5k liters of water are used?

I have been researching a lot about REDUCE * REUSE * RECYCLE * DOWNCYCLE *

UPCYCLE. Most of these concepts are totally new for me, but gave me a new perspective of how to apply some changes to my daily routine.

Because is not only just choosing a socially responsible brand. We also have to change our consumption patterns, use eco-friendly products and recycle!

Obviously is not a change from overnight but we can start with some baby steps. Here some ideas very easy ideas!

· Gift paper and bags! Now I have a special drawer to reuse it for future occasions.

· Use always both side of each paper

· Take your bags when going shopping

· Transform your old cloth in to new trendy outfits!

· I am starting to use old cans and transform it into games for my daughter.
